thankful?

yes i am...i have a lot of things to be thankful for: i have a good, solid job; a comfortable house; my health; and am mostly happy. but then sometimes i look at my life and see what i don't have and am not so thankful...i know it's selfish but i know everyone does it. you covet what you can't have. but with the holiday season upon me, thanksgiving behind me and christmas just around the corner, i have to admit i do have a lot to be thankful for - a lot of things that i take granted for. and i try to keep reminding myself that it's not always about what i don't have, it's what i do have.

went home this year for thanksgiving and it was really wonderful seeing the family, especially my little nephew. seeing such a precious young life like his is rather awe inspiring cause he hasn't been tainted, or jaded by life. he still sees everything through his innocent eyes. he doesn't see evil or hatred...he is surrounded by love and family. oh to be that young and innocent again! my little brother is engaged and getting married in may - so grown up!!! it seems like my family is so grown up and doing their own thing, which i have to say is awesome....
